Debit Card Payment Facility

Members can now make payments by using their debit card in any of our branches, or within their secure members area as part of our online services. If you haven't registered for online access please click here. We will verify your details and send you a secure six digit PIN.

To make a card payment online:

  • Login to your secure members area using your member number, date of birth and 3 digits of your secure PIN.
  • Select MAKE A PAYMENT from the left hand navigation bar and then select MAKE A PAYMENT from the box.
  • Enter your card holder details, your Eircode (there is a link to find your eircode) and your email address.
  • Then select which account you want the payment to go to by entering the amount into the box beside, i.e. if its for Shares, Cash Save or Loan and enter the payment amount you want to make, you can enter all 3 if you are lodging into all. This will total the amount automatically for you.
  • Click on Make Payment - it will then ask if you are sure, click ok and redirects you to payment screen where you securely enter your debit card details.
  • Click Pay Now.

Direct Debit & Standing Order Payment Facility

You can set up a Direct Debit & Standing Orders from your Bank account to your Ballyshannon & Killybegs Credit Union account by simply filling in a Standing Orders form and returning it to our office or your own bank. This is particularly useful for Members who find it difficult to get to our office during opening hours or if Members wish to maintain the regularity of savings and loan payments.

Be sure to reference your credit union account number on the standing order form.

What Does Share Draft Mean?

A type of draft used in credit unions as a way to access funds in individual accounts. Share draft accounts at credit unions are the equivalent of personal checking accounts at banks. Likewise, share drafts are the equivalent of bank checks. Shares represent partial ownership in a credit union, and credit union members (shareholders) write drafts (checks) as a way to access the value of their partial ownership (shares).
